During the 17th Century this traditional Welsh Longhouse (Farmhouse) managed a farm estate of 400 acres.
It only became an Inn when the milk parlour was converted into a bar in 1845. Travellers often stabled their horses and rested overnight.
Between 1845 and 1914 the farm estate was reduced to 45 acres. Between 1914 and 1980, travellers could rest in the bedrooms inside the Inn that had been converted. Landlords also sold off further acreage and by 1980 the Inn and outbuilding had been poorly neglected. (Pictures hanging in the Cocktail and Llangibby lounges will bear this out).
Today, the Greyhound has 2 acres of beautiful gardens and a recently purchased paddock of 4 acres complimenting the interesting array of buildings restored to accommodate our letting bedrooms and country furniture shop.
